JoJo is looking for short dance works or excerpts from longer works for the programme of its Dance Gala in December 2026. The works may be based on any form of dance and must have premiered by the application deadline – and whose working group or work has a connection to Oulu.

Applications must include a link to a recording of the work. Applications submitted without a recording link will not be considered. The maximum duration of the work is 15–20 minutes.

Dance Gala schedule

• The get-in / technical set-up will take place either on Wednesday 2 December or Thursday 3 December, with three hours allocated per group.
• The Dance Gala will take place at Valvesali on Friday 4 December.

Please note the following when completing the application form:

• JoJo is looking for ready-made short performances or excerpts from longer performances. The maximum duration is 15–20 minutes.
• The performance fee is €208.80 per member of the performing group, plus half of the performance fee for the rehearsal, €104.40 (4 hours of work), making a total of €313.20 per person. The fee includes experience-based increments (3y/ 5% and 6y/ 9%), holiday compensation (12/12,5%) and employer costs (19,84%). A group working on an invoicing basis may also invoice daily allowances, provided the other conditions for receiving a daily allowance are met.
• Travel costs will be reimbursed against receipts up to €200 per person within Finland, €450 per person from Europe, or €750 per person from other continents. JoJo will cover travel costs only for the people required to realise the performance. Travel tickets can also be purchased directly by JoJo by separate agreement.
• Arrangements for transporting any freight will be agreed jointly, and JoJo will cover any related costs.
• The performing group will invoice JoJo for the guest performance fee. Group members may also invoice their respective shares separately.
• JoJo will arrange and cover the cost of accommodation.
• JoJo requires the guest performance to include all personnel needed to perform the work, including sound and lighting technicians. The technical team at Valvesali will assist with the get-in and set-up.
• The visiting company / artist must be prepared to perform the work using the technical equipment available at the venue. Any additional technical equipment must be agreed upon separately. The visiting company / artist is responsible for arranging and covering the cost of any agreed additional equipment.

Late applications will not be considered.

All applicants will be informed of the preliminary selections at a later date.
