JoJo – Oulu Dance Center is a professional dance production center offering international, multidisciplinary dance art programme, with a focus on contemporary dance. The program also includes the OuDance Festival in the autumn.
JoJo’s spring program 2021 brings together several productions that were delayed from their original schedule.
PERFORMANCE 15th May – CANCELLED
TADaC (Theater Academy Dance Collective) will visit Oulu with Emmi Venna’s production Core.
PREMIERE ON 17.4.
Only breathing, nothing else was left explores and deals with different forms of violence.
The performance tells the life story of various human destinies.
PREMIERE ON 17.2. – DELAYED
The contemporary dance performance with element of physical theater is made for two dancers and one actor asking who draws the line of making it or failing in it.
PREMIERE ON 10.6.
The new production Mistakes combines live music and skillful dance with a humorous idea, surprisingly with its dynamic but gentle grip on the viewer.
PERFORMANCE ON 24.3. – IS BEING RESCHEDULED
Two globally acclaimed Finnish artists, choreographer-dancer Tero Saarinen and accordionist Kimmo Pohjonen, take measure on each other on stage, composing a power web of sound and movement.
