Description of the performance

King of Oulu by Danish Simon Beyer-Pedersen is a contemporary dance performance with element of physical theater made for two dancers and one actor.

A mystic encounter with two dancers at “being real ritual”, the premiere for King of Oulu has been rescheduled a couple of times due to the Covid situation. The dancers Simon Beyer-Pedersen and Heli Pippingsköld try to keep their integrity without being influenced or manipulated by the voice! Soon they are forced to adopt something unknown and deal individually with the consequences while their bodies reveal the shadows of the innocent needs.

Choreographer: Simon Beyer-Pedersen | Performers: Heli Pippingsköld & Simon Beyer-Pedersen | Musician: Henri Jaakola | Speaker: Mika Kiviniemi | Production: JoJo – Oulu Dance Centre | Duration: 50 min.
