Open call for co-production in 2027

JoJo is looking for new co-production ideas based on different dance styles and forms and related audience work ideas to premiere in 2027. This information and form is for new productions. If you apply with a visiting performance, please read more at visiting performance page.

JoJo produces 3-5 co-productions a year.

In addition to JoJo’s support, new productions selected to program are also required to have a self-financing contribution. The production aid granted by JoJo is not a grant. 

JoJo offers productions:

  • Accommodation in a residency apartment in the city center of Oulu (two double rooms and a living room, accommodation capacity 4–5 persons)

  • €15,000–20,000 (VAT 0%) in co-production support, directed to personnel costs of the working group and not available for other expenses

  • Rehearsal space up to 6 hours/day, 5 days/week, for a maximum of three weeks, up to a total value of €800

  • Rehearsals and performances in the performance venue to be specified later

  • 5–6 performances

  • Production, marketing, communications, and audience engagement in accordance with the production contract

JoJo requires from working groups:

  • Working groups selected for JoJo’s production must, at the time of signing the co-production agreement, have a legally registered entity behind them or as a partner, which can act as the contracting party and invoice JoJo for the co-production support.
  • A designated responsible person within the group

  • A production plan and budget that takes JoJo’s production funding into account

  • Secured self-financing share by the time of signing the co-production agreement

  • Information on other possible partners involved in the production

  • One open rehearsal before the premiere

  • An audience discussion in connection with an agreed performance

  • A proposal for audience engagement related to the work, to be developed in collaboration with JoJo

  • The composition of the artistic working group with contact details / open audition if necessary

  • Active participation in producing marketing materials and communications for the work

  • The working group must also promote the performances in their own channels

  • JoJo must always be mentioned as the producer of the work

 

JoJo’s repertoire working group will make preliminary decisions regarding the 2027 productions during spring 2026.

Note: The self-financing share is not required at the application stage!

Fill in all the fields and submit. The form can’t be saved during the process.

It is advisable to write your text offline and copy and paste it to the form.

THE APPLICATION PERIOD IS October 7–November 16, 2025.

Late applications will not be considered.

  • A more detailed work plan if necessary (1 x A4)
