JoJo toimii tanssitaiteen ammattikentällä toimiville tuotantokeskuksena ja vierailuteatterina.
Call for dance, circus and movement-based films and video art made in Oulu and Northern Ostrobothnia or otherwise linked to the region. You can send artworks made throughout time. The category and genre of the films are freely interpretable by artists themselves. You can also send films to the archive that are not directly dance or circus related, but have a strong storytelling or logic based on movement. Experimental, genre-bending works are also welcome. The call is not open for performance documentations.
The archive is collected and maintained by choreographer and filmmaker Silja Tuovinen. The purpose of the archive is to map film and video works made in the region, and to collect information about them in a targeted way. There is strength in numbers. By collecting the archive, the aim is to enable “maintenance” of the works and organise possible screenings of the works in the region.
Video works sent by 31.5.2026 will be considered for a screening as part of JoJo – Oulu Dance Center’s OuDance Festival 2026.
